Practice and All is Coming

revolved bird of paradiseRecently, I have been feeling tight as I increased stronger sequences in my practice.  I felt that I was not progressing in creating space in my body.  In today’s practice, I was very surprised that for the first time I could bind into revolved bird’s of paradise!  Sure, I was all wobbly and my breathing was erratic.  But I could actually bind my hands.  I could not even do that just a month ago.  And with intense concentration, I was able to stand up into the pose.

Indeed, small progress, no matter how subtle, can lead to significant improvements over time.  You may not feel it, but it is there.  That’s the beauty of daily practice.  The challenge for me now is to translate this lesson from the mat to real life.

Practice and all is coming.  Namaste.
