Red Juice for Detoxification

 

 

In today’s yoga practice, I did a lot of twists in order to detox.  What great way to complement this practice with a great juice that stimulates the detoxifying function of the liver and kidneys.  Juice the following ingredients for a refreshing drink:

3 cups of chopped tomatoes

1 stalk of celery

1 cucumber

Tomatoes are rich in antioxidant substances such as lycopene, beta carotene, vitamin C and selenium.  This can help in preventing free radicals from damaging  body tissues.  In addition, tomatoes contain properties that stimulates the detoxifying function of the liver and kidneys, leading to the efficient removal of toxins from the body.
