Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Strawberries!

Strawberries!

Coming from strawberry-picking trip in Baguio (read:  A Quick Visit to the City of Pines), we had a lot of strawberries to consume.  We can only eat so much fresh strawberries, so we had to freeze the rest of the lot.

Here’s a recipe for a strawberry banana smoothie that my hubby likes to whip up for our healthy breakfast:

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2  ripe banana, sliced
  • 1 cup evaporated milk (I know, I know, not too healthy!  You may use soy milk for a healthier substitute).  If you want it sweet, you can use condensed milk, but a smaller portion.
  • 1/2 cup of ice cubes
  • a dash of water

Combine all ingredients and blend away!  Stop when well blended.   Pour in your glass.  Top it with whipped cream if today is your cheat day.  ENJOY!
