Today, I decided to incorporate cardio and strength training back into my exclusive yoga routine. So I joined a boxfit class scheduled at our office gym. The workout touted to lose around 1,000 calories per session. Incredible. I kept an open mind.
The class I attended combined the regular circuit training routine plus 4 minutes of continuous cardiovascular exercises done in rapid succession. The circuit training phase consisted of mountain climbers, skipping rope, shuffling , planking and strength training working on the arms, butt and core. The continuos cardio exercises include jumping jacks, squats, side jumping jacks, lunge, and push ups.
A session of this once a week should be enough for me. Thankfully, I survived the grueling workout.
